Took 30 min. to assemble. Instruction was clear. There were extra color clear pieces so I can build it taller. It needs to stand on smooth surface, not carpet. So we put a foam card board on top of the carpet. One of the plastic wheel was not smooth so marble always stuck there. Used a nail file to make it smoother but not helping, so I have to take one wheel out from the slide. Marble also stuck on another dish-like part and would not go down, so my son had to push the marble down every time. Came with 20 marbles (10 silver, 10 other color) The silver marble runs better because it weigh more. Also my son likes to put all 10 marble down at once, and they will clog in the tubes. Putting the marbles one at a time is fine. In spite of some defects mentioned, this toy is entertaining and my 4 year old play with it for the longest time.

I Over all think this product is great, it is a little flimsy, but when you have younger children they don't mind, and it helps to maneuver the slides to a connecting point. One set back that I did not like about this product are the marbles. They are plastic and very light in weight. My kids also have a set of glass(real) marbles and they are not small enough to be used in this race set, as they will slide down the slide, but they are just a smidge to big to fit through the escape hatch to the next slide, what a bummer!

Other than that I think the product is great and I would buy it again, just to expand our play area!

My son had this toy in preschool: Had to order because he would cry leaving it everyday!! Kristian loves to sit for hours building and creating.... I love it!! Better than a video game!! Gives me a little time for myself... everyone wins! :)

My son is 5 and we love this. It makes him think and plan whilie stacking the parts; so the marbles will run through the tracks that he wants them to.

This is a really fun toy encouraging creativity and at the same time learning some physics without realizing it. The only reason I give 4 stars as opposed to 5 is the construction of the slides they are out of a soft plastic while the stackers are out of a rigid plastic the soft plastic sometimes pulls on the rigid so will cause the rigid stacks to be crooked which means the marbles won't roll properly. This requires the child to assure all the rigid stacks are perfectly vertical. Overall though still a great toy!

This product was poorly made. I think the plastic injection molding process was rushed because the pieces are very warped and don't stay upright. I'm going to look for a replacement in a store and look into returning this for sure.

We bought this for my daughter when she turned 4. She can easily assemble the pieces, but it does take some thought to assemble them so the marbles actually go somewhere. The first time we used it, there were some runs that dead-ended or shot the marbles out of the track.

My 3 1/2 year old got this for Christmas and he hasn't stopped playing with it. For the money, its a great buy! It's not only entertaining (for both young and old), but it helps with motor skills and reasoning/logic.

Very fun from the get go! We got this for our five year old boy for Christmas and it was one of the hits of the day for him and his 7- and 9-year old sisters.

The included set-up diagram was fairly easy to follow. I would have liked to have seen at least one more way to set up the pieces for a complete machine, but perhaps a Web search will yield some results. The pieces aren't flimsy, but they do tend to lean a bit -- I consider this to be part of the charm. Once the kids get the hang of how to build and rebuild the initial setup, I expect they'll be designing their own machines.

This is a lot of fun but difficult for real young ones to assemble and keep from knocking over. With adult supervision it's a blast. So many different ways to assemble.

I bought this for my 4 year-old niece and it was a lot of fun. I am an engineer, so I got just as much enjoyment out of building the structures as she did. Very fun and leaves a lot to the imagination as you can set it up a number of different ways. I recommend this to others for kids - both young and old.

I use this Marble Race in my class room, 3 ~ 5 years olds'. Not only children but teachers like to play with children when it's out. Good for problem solving. I wish that all pieces are clear so kids can see where the mables go. But anyhow, it's a great product :)

My daughter is 5 and has been enthralled with the marble runs at the doctor's office ever since she was a baby. I never found one at a decent price that was big enough or looked sturdy enough to handle children's play - until now. My husband and I looked at it to ensure that there were no defects but did not actually play with it yet -- that comes on Christmas morning. Based on what we did do, it seems strong and sturdy and I love how colorful it is. I cannot wait for my daughter to open it. It is my most favorite gift for her this year.

Our 4 year old nephew would play with a similar set, purchased 20 years ago, whenever he visited, so this seemed the perfect birthday gift for him. I did research this type of product on various websites and in local store, and found this one to have the greatest variety of pieces for the price. After it was opened, we sat for hours playing and building together. At his age, he still has difficulty putting the pieces together, but his 7 year old sister had no problems. Both adults and children had a blast interacting with the game and each other. This is a wonderful interactive toy for adults and young children and a great alone time toy for older children...and adults! Great fun!!

Ordered this for my 3 year old grandson. My son said was very easy to put together and the first time my grandson played with it, he played for two hours. He was totally fascinated with this game. It was the first thing he wanted to play with out of all the toys he received for his birthday.

My son received a marble race last Christmas (when he was 3) and loves it! Everytime we have friends over it's the first thing they play with. I did a lot of research before I bought this one for our friend's son who was turning 5. I was going to go with a wood one, but they were too expensive. Then I noticed some of the other plastic 1's either had bad reviews for quality or had solid colored tubes where you couldn't see the marbles thru them. This one was the best of both worlds, and I was fortunate enough to find it for the right price at Discount School Supply. It was ordered, shipped, and recieved extremely fast and he had his gift within 2 days. Thank you DSS for your great value and your quick response. We will definitely be back.

Birthday present for our 5 year old boy... He had two friends over to play in the afternoon and we basically didn't see the three of them for hours. The pieces are easy to assemble, the material is sturdy and the variations are endless. And it looks so inviting with bright colours and see-through bits. Extremely pleased with it!

I bought this for my 6yr old son who loves building "contraptions" as he puts it. There are a lot of pieces but the building options are endless for him. He can easily put everything together & take it apart by himself. It's a great product! Possibly our ONLY complaint would be that real marbles should be supplied rather than the plastic air filled balls. In general though this is a great value & a great product.

My daughter's preschool got this product last spring, and I bought it at the beginning of the summer because both of my kids were in love with it. We've had many happy hours playing with it over the summer, and I'm sure we'll continue to use it for years to come.

I think this is the best marble run available in this price range. The large bases keep it from falling over, and the variety of pieces included is excellent.

I do feel that there are a few areas in which the marble run could be improved. The type of plastic used isn't very rigid, so certain pieces have a tendency to warp. It's possible to compensate for this by carefully choosing the locations for those pieces. Also, four of the pieces are a different length from the others, which means they can't be used on the same side of a structure with the other pieces. Finally, the looping piece comes in two parts, which we had to superglue together to keep it from falling apart at the slightest touch.

All in all, though, it's a very good product and I've been pleased with it.

Preschool students in our classroom love this toy. My grandson also loves it. His other grandmother bought him a different one, and it fell apart easily. This one is durable and holds together when assembled. I like this toy so much, I bought one for my grandson, and another one to keep at home for any other children who come to visit. I highly recommend this toy.

I purchased this maze for my 4 year old son after having purchased several other marble mazes. THIS maze is built to last and is stable when constructed. It has LOTS of interesting twists and turns to keep even my husband and I interested. You won't regret buying this maze!

Forget that there are a lot of pieces. This is a great toy for ages 3 and up. There is a lot of planning and creativity involved and hours of entertainment. From the beginning I would try to have a pouch or box where you store the marbles though. They do get carried away and lose themselves. Great fun and colors.

I was a bit disappointed by the quality of this marble run. The colors are nice and I like that it is see through in parts. However, many of the pieces do not fit flush so it makes the whole thing somewhat wobbly. It also comes apart a little too easily. Instructions were horrible.

It ended up being a great birthday gift for my 3 year old son. As long as you build at least 3 connecting towers, it is very sturdy. Only a few pieces were looser than others (also noted in other reviews), but not so much to where they weren't usable. some other reviews said they wished that the instructions included other ways to build the marble race-I disagree. It makes you use your brain, and create something unique everytime you build it. My son absolutely loves it and it won't be long before he can build it himself!!

I purchased this for my daycare, hoping that the kids 5 and older would use it without my assistance while I prepared lunch. The description says for ages 3 and up but that is unrealistic- the 3 year olds need alot of help. The 4 year olds are able to build small structures and they seem pleased with that. The older children, of course, like the challenge of building something bigger and better. So far the pieces are holding up and everyone is happy!

The marble race is perfect for busy kids. Boys especially love it! The children have to use logic and planning skills to build their towers. And it always becomes a group activity, with some building, some directing and some just cheering as the marble follows its course. Great activity!!

I bought this for my four year old daughter's birthday. It took some concentration to put together but after that, she, as well as her 10 year old and 7 year old brothers have played with it every day since. They have races with the marbles, with each other, etc. I am so glad my SIL bought this for her 4 year old boy. The quality isn't that great, some pieces make it lean and some fit better than others but for the price it is what i expected.

This is a good marble run, although I was disappointed that the some of the connecting plastic pieces were slightly bent in the shipping process causing some of the marbles to get "stuck" at times. The instructions are fairly easy to follow although there are no instructions for alternative arrangements which would make it much more versatile.

My 3 year old son and my husband both love this toy. You can get really creative with different layouts, and it's easy enough that my son can create simple layouts on his own. My only complaint is that the paddle wheel piece doesn't stay in the center of the track, it slides to the end blocking the marbles from going through. Otherwise it's great, and I've bought a couple more as gifts.
