Comments about Colorations® Build-A-Kite - Kit for 12:
These are an excellent way to expand and extend your weather curriculum. The kids loved being able to decorate their own kites with the older ones really taking their time and actually doing a rough draft on paper before. Kept everyone busy and occupied for quite some time and then they got to take the kites home.

Not so much
By bigtimebouncers

The kids in my day camp were so excited to make kites. When we went to put the poles onto the back no of the poles would fit. They were either all to long or WAY to short. Their afternoon activity of flying kites went down the tubes. Big disappointment

Don't waste your time or money on these
By NayNay

I bought these for my sons bday party for the kids to do. The string that places through the holes was not long enough in any of the packages, the plastic rods were not strong enough and all the kids were fustrated that they could not get them together or fly them.

Not impressed
By MDdaislyleader

These were very difficult for my Girl Scout troop to assemble and they broke as soon as they tried to fly them. Many of the pieces were missing and we had to open un-used ones to borrow the missing items to complete the kites. I bought 24 of them for a group of 12 and we used all of the kites trying to piece them together or replace broken parts. Not impressed at all with this item

Poor Quality

This product is made of wrinkled, cheap plastic and warped sticks. I prefer the ripstop fabric ones over these.

Not so easy to work with / Not of great quality

We do not really have much ease with these although they are hard to keep from the children as they really enjoy kites . But these are not of great quality.

won't order again
By Casie

Although the price was great, the quality was extremely poor. Half the sticks were broken in the package and the other half broke as soon as kids tried to fly them outside.

Don't count on it!
By Puut
We ordered 1 kit- 12 kites. Two kite packages were missing parts (the string and holder; one plastic piece to hold long cross stick on one kite )and the cross pieces were not uniformly cut. Some holes were punched outside of the reinforcement guide circles. The concept is a good one but quality control is lacking.

The children enjoyed decorating the kites. When we went to put the cross pieces in, they fell off the kites. Whatever adhesive was used was not effective.

Awesome Kite

This was a very time consuming project but the kids were soooo happy with this. I had 16 kids. They all waited patiently for us to assemble each one but they all were sooo happy when they got to take it home.
