Comments about My First Fractions - 123 Pieces:
The bright colours and easy to manipulate shapes makes explaining fractions more fun. the children grasp the concepts faster by using concrete materials and this one is great.

Bigger than I thought
By HomeProvider
from Rochelle IL
I avoided getting this item because of the price, after much thought I went ahead and bought it. It is much BIGGER than I expected. Children love it! Big enough for little hands and easy for them to see. I was amazed at the quality and durability although the case was broke when I originally received it. It was replaced and now the children play with it all the time, even my own children enjoy it.

Absoultly Faboulous!!!!
By Lebenheimer1

I ordered this thinking it would be a small, temporary aid for our afterschool program. It is not. It's large, well made, colorful and the kids like it and are really making progress due to the hands on and visual aspect of the item. If I had known it was such a good product, I probably would have ordered more and still may.

Bigger than expected!
By JustMe

What a huge surprise we had when this arrived. This is so big! We love this. This is the best thing I have found to introduce young children to fractions effectively. I love that they include three different shapes, so that children can generalize the skill intstead of only associating fractions with circles (for example). My only complaints are that there is only a single board for each shape. As many pieces as there are, they should have several boards for each shape. Also, the triangle fourth pieces are not the same size and shape--so they are not precisely divided into fourths. The difference is small and hardly noticeable, except that the pieces only fit in a certain way. This has been a challenge for my students to place them appropriately and is a distraction from the concept of fractions, I'm trying to teach.

Good Teaching Tool

I really like this product for the fact that it is the perfect hands on work for teaching young children about fractions. My preschoolers really like this product too, they are drawn to it.
