Bunny Bags
An Activity for Preschoolers:
Hop to it with this simple craft that’s great for Easter celebrations!

Before You Begin:
For smaller children, you may want to pre-cut the white bags. However, if the children have enough fine motor skills for cutting, allow them to cut their own. You may also want to provide a pattern for them to trace before cutting.

Activity Goals:
To promote creativity and celebrate Easter.

The double paper thickness of the bag may be difficult for some young children to cut, especially with scissors made for young children. If so, have them trace the pattern on both sides of the bag, then cut one side at a time.

Cut out the center portion of a white bag about halfway down to make the bunny’s ears, or have the children trace and cut the ears on the bag.
Use wiggly eyes, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and foam shapes to make the bunny’s face.
Cut a strip of construction paper and glue each end to one side of the bag. This creates a handle between the ears.
Children can use craft tape or crayons for added embellishments.
