Dazzling Clay Eggs
An Activity for Preschoolers:
An “egg-cellent,” tactile clay activity that’s perfect for Easter.

Before You Begin:
Keep in mind, this is a two-day project because the air-clay needs time to dry. The clay typically needs at least one day.

Activity Goals:
To encourage creativity
To teach shapes
To celebrate Easter

You may want to challenge older children to duplicate the building structure using window markers on the window.

Have the children mold air-dry clay into egg shapes.
Use a straw or pencil to make a hole at the top.
Paint the egg.
Have children embed gems, sequins, buttons, or other collage materials to add a personal touch.
Let egg dry.
Tie ribbon through the hole for hanging.
