NIFTY stands for Natural Investigations for Toddler Years. This unique integrated system of very inviting exploratory play materials has chunky pieces to fit into, over, under, and on top of each other. Much like unit blocks, there is an integrity in the way the pieces relate and interrelate mathematically. Although it was created to be used successfully by the youngest toddler, NIFTYsystem has so many open-ended investigative and manipulative possibilities that it is intriguing to all ages. There are no rules, no right way to interact with these safe, large-scale manipulatives. Children are free to explore in their own way – naturally! For children ages 12 months and up.
