Bright BioColor Folded Butterflies
An Activity for Preschoolers:
A great lesson in symmetry with brilliant results!

Before You Begin:
Pre-fold sheets of paper before children begin activity.

Activity Goals:
To promote creativity and teach children about mirror images.

Although this activity suggests creating a butterfly, the marble painting created by folding the paper in half can be used for various projects - especially projects that exhibit symmetry (two balanced sides).

Have children drip 3-4 colors of BioColor® on one half of the folded paper.
Press the halves together and smooth out.
Open the paper and let paint dry.
Have children use scissors to cut the painted sheet into a butterfly.
Have the children add pipe clears for antennae, etc.
