Pony Bead Apple Sort
An Activity for Preschoolers:
Children can practice color recognition and sorting.


Before You Begin:
Gather small bowls, pony beads, and tweezers. Draw or stamp apple shapes, one each in red, green, and yellow, on a piece of white paper. Divide pony beads into craft cups, keeping the colors separated.


Activity Goals:
Practice fine motor skills
Practice sorting
Develop eye-hand coordination
Develop pincer grasp


Furthermore:
You can also try this with different shapes for autumn, like squash or pumpkins.







Place paper with colored apple shapes on a tray. Set one craft cup of each color of pony beads and the tweezers nearby.
Encourage children to sort the beads by color into the correct apple.
