Name of Product: Tic Tac Turtle Toss
Units: About 60
Importer: Discount School Supply, of Monterey, California.
Hazard: The paint on the Tic Tac Turtle Toss mats contains excess levels of lead, violating the federal lead
paint standard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves 50-inch vinyl/polyester play mats. The double sided mats have a number design
on one side and a turtle design on the other. The mats are yellow with numbers and designs painted in red, blue, green and black. The mat
has the Discount School Supply name and logo printed in the corner on both sides of the mat. Bean bags pictured with the mat are sold
separately.
Sold by: Discount School Supply catalogs and the company’s Web site from June 2007 through September 2007 for about $40.

Discount School Supply Recalls Paint Brushes Due to Violation of Lead Paint Standard
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. (To

Name of Product: Shaving Paint Brushes
Units: About 20,000
Importer: Discount School Supply, of Monterey, California.
Hazard: Surface paint on the brush handles can contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint
standard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: The recall involves a set of six "shaving-style" brushes, which are about 4-inches long. The
brushes’ handles are painted blue, purple, orange, yellow, lime green, and pink. The item number #SHVBRSH is printed on the product’s
packaging. Brush sets with handles in brown, dark blue, red, green, blue, and black are not included in this recall. The recalled brushes
were also included with the "BioColor® Foam Paint Starter Kit" and "Colorations® Foam Paint Starter Kit".
Sold by: Discount School Supply’s catalog and Web site from May 2004 through August 2007 for about $5. The BioColor® kits
were sold from May 2004 through June 2006 for about $60. The Colorations® kits were sold from July 2006 through August 2007 for about $60.

Discount School Supply Recalls Children’s Two-Sided Easels Due to Lead Poisoning Hazard

Name of Product: Elite 5-in-1 Easels
Units: About 2,500

Hazard: The paint on the chalkboard side of the recalled easels contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested
by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Description: The recalled easels are two-sided, with felt and a pull-out panel on one side and a chalkboard on the other
side. All of the recalled easels include the word "Jolly" at the top. Easels with the word "Colorations" at the top of the easel are not
included in the recall.

Description: The recalled Jesus fish beads were sold in packages of 100 in five assorted colors (red, black, purple, light blue and green) with the word “Jesus” printed on each. The beads measure about 2 inches in length each.
