before you begin:
Gather materials: White craft cups, black tempera paint sticks, large pom poms, yarn, wiggly eyes, and orange foam

activity goals:
Teaches fine motor skills and general animal appearance.

step 1
Begin with the cup open side down.
step 2
Using a black tempera stick, color the entire white cup except for a u-shaped spot on the front. Paint dries very quickly.
step 3
Add eyes and feet and a nose cut from orange foam using glue
step 4
The hat is made from a large pom pom glued to the top with a small pom on top of that
step 5
Glue yarn to the top edge of the cup at the base of the large pom
