Jonah and the Whale Clothespin

before you begin:
Gather materials: clothespins, foam sheets, construction paper, markers, glue.

activity goals:
To create a moving craft to support the story of Jonah and the Whale.

Cut the shape of a whale out of foam

Using glue, affix the top of the whale to one side of a clothespin and the bottom to the other side

Using glue, affix the top of the whale to one side of a clothespin and the bottom to the other side

The whale will open and close his mouth with the clothespin!

To add Jonah, make a figure out of paper in proportion with the whale and glue or tape him to the bottom of the whale's mouth

Decorate your whale further with wiggly eyes, pipe cleaners, and other decorating materials
