Steve Spangler Insta-Snow®

Product Overview

It's faux snow! Steve Spangler Insta-Snow® is a revolutionary, super-absorbent polymer that transforms when mixed with water.
  • Instantly, you have artificial "snow" that looks and feels like the real thing
  • Stays fluffy for weeks
  • 100 grams in the package - makes 1/2 gallon of "snow"
  • It's reusable too - when the water evaporates, it leaves the dry powder intact
  • Add 1 tablespoon to 32 ounces of water, expands to over 100 times its size. Use more water for wetter snow, less for drier snow
  • For best results, begin by mixing with about half the amount of water specified on the packaging, and continue to add water while stirring until the desired texture is achieved
  • When you're ready to use it again, just reconstitute with water
  • Safe and non-toxic
  • Use for science projects, classroom demonstrations and experiments
  • Ideal for sensory play
  • Steve Spangler Insta-Snow® powder is a non-hazardous, non-toxic, environmentally safe polymer
  • Ideal for making Cloud Slime!
Steve Spangler Insta-Snow® does not contain the following common allergens:
  • Does not contain Latex
  • Does not contain Dairy & Casein
  • Does not contain Egg
  • Does not contain Gluten
  • Does not contain Peanut & Tree Nut
  • Does not contain Soy
PreK-K Core Standards
  • SCI (P) Collect, describe and record information using a variety of tools.

K-3 Core Standards
  • K-2-ETS1-1. Ask questions, make observations, and gather information about a situation people want to change to define a simple problem that can be solved through the development of a new or improved object or tool.
  • K-2-ETS1-2. Develop a simple sketch, drawing, or physical model to illustrate how the shape of an object helps it function as needed to solve a given problem.
  • K-2-ETS1-3. Analyze data from tests of two objects designed to solve the same problem to compare the strengths and weaknesses of how each performs.

Steve Spangler Energy Stick™

Product Overview

Explore the science of electricity and circuits.
  • Energy Stick™ features electrodes on each end of its 7-1/2"L tube
  • When these electrodes are touched simultaneously, long-lasting LED lights inside the tube flash and the tube makes a noise
  • Release one or both of the electrodes and the flashing lights and noise stop
  • Energy Stick's™ sensing circuit is so sensitive that it can detect even a very small amount of electricity that travels across your skin
  • It's completely safe, and it's a totally cool way to learn about conductors of electricity by Steve Spangler
  • Put one hand on the top and the other on the bottom of Energy Stick™ and the flashing lights and sound maker let you know that you've completed the circuit
  • Try it with friends! Invite everyone to join in the fun by holding hands and forming a large circle to test their conductivity
  • Steve Spangler Energy Stick™ is a great visual aid and hands-on science tool that teaches young scientists about open and closed circuits as well as conductors and insulators
  • Supports STEM and STEAM learning

Steve Spangler Science Heat Sensitive Paper - Magenta

Product Overview

Hold a piece of this magical paper in your hand and watch as the area you touch changes from magenta to white!
  • LEARN ABOUT THERMOCHROMICS: Heat Sensitive Paper changes color through a special thermochromic ink. The ink contains a pigment that responds to temperature change.
  • MULTIPLE USES: Kids can use this paper for a variety of uses either science or fun. Some ways that the paper can be used are: an investigation to determine the relationships among the energy transferred, the type of matter, the mass and the change in the average kinetic energy of the particles as measured by the temperature of the sample.
  • LEARN ABOUT INSULATION: This Heat Sensitive Paper is a great lab tool for illustrating insulators in an easy and fun way.
  • INCLUDED: 100pk of 8.5"x11" paper
