My son uses this for all his paper gluing homework and crafts. My son has allergies and eczema so we wanted to make sure it was safe for him. We liked it so much that we bought over 100 for the classroom during the sale! The glue goes on smooth, not lumpy. My only minus is the cap is super tight and hard for little hands to open and close. (Maybe a rubber band around the lid could help.) This could be a plus, since I've seen many a glue stick dry out and shrink. Overall, you can't go wrong.

We have used these for a number of paper projects. They work just as well or better than name brand glue sticks. The only problem I had was that the glue dries so quickly that when my classes were applying glue to the edges of a half-sheet of paper, the glue was drying before they could finish and stick it to their project.

The glue comes off in big gobs and smears everywhere. It is not very easy for preschoolers to use.

After reading mixed reviews about the quality, I finally decided to give them a try myself. I did find them to be slightly "drier" than other glue sticks, but I also found them to not be as messy. I think they are great for some of the older kids that understand they need to push a little. I also like that the litte ones can't make as much of a mess with them, but they have a hard time getting enough glue onto the paper.
