Leaf Impressions
An Activity for Preschoolers:
This sensory activity will fully engage children as they make colorful leaf prints.

Before You Begin:
Assemble supplies on an activity table. Warm up some apple cider to serve as a fall treat for the kids as they make their leaf prints.

Activity Goals:
Practice motor skills
Explore different textures

Try making impressions using additional objects; stones, twigs, pieces of bark and dried flowers.

Collect leaves from outdoors and gently wipe off dust and dirt.
Roll Crayola Model Magic into a ball and flatten to 1/4 - 1/8” thick.
Press a leaf into the Model Magic and then remove, leaving a print.
Make a hole in the top which will be used later for hanging.
Allow to dry.
When dry, paint leaf impression with watercolors.
Hang with yarn or pipe cleaners and enjoy!
